It was a soupy afternoon yesterday, but we managed to dodge the raindrops and have a fun engagement session at The Park of Roses in Clintonville. Enjoy Emily & Jamil! I'll see you at the wedding!

Mother's Day is just around the corner - where has the year gone? Moms always deserve to know they are appreciated. Are you doing something special for your Mom? Have your told her, or written her a note about just how much she means to you, about what a wonderful person/mom she is, about what a difference she makes? This day is also to make sure all the important women who have been like a mom know how much they are appreciated. Most people know that my Mom passed 15 years ago... what I wouldn't give to be able to give her a hug & tell her I love her. My Aunt Bernie stepped into the surrogate mom shoes & I try to tell her everytime I talk with her that I love her & she means the world to me!
If your are looking for a one of kind gift of art for your mom or someone special, stop by my shop for my Mother's Day sale! Until Mother's Day I will be having a Buy One/Get One sale... so treat yourself, too!

Often, I am asked about the difference between baby photographs taken at big box chains and those taken by myself (Oh Joy! Photography) or other Fine Art/Boutique Portrait Photographers. This wonderful article is sure to answer questions!

This past Sunday was the most beautiful Spring day! The sun was shining & the spring trees were in all their glory. I met a friend at my favorite park - Inniswood Metropark - to do some shooting on my day off. In addition to getting some beautiful shots for my Etsy shop, I met a wonderfully talented mom who started her own business making boutique tutus. Let me tell you - they are just gorgeous! Her attention to detail and workmanship make these little tutus stand out! I'm looking forward to adding some of these gorgeous tutus to my collection and using them in upcoming portrait sessions! Find Janie Girl tutus on Facebook or inquire at janiegirltutus@yahoo.com
